COMMONWEALTH GAMES 2010 | INDIAN PERSPECTIVE

INDIA BAGS TWO MORE GOLD MEDALS IN THE GREEKO-ROMAN WRESTLING IN COMMONWEALTH GAMES 2010

India rallies up to the second place in the medals tally, very close to the mighty superpower Australia. India has now 4 gold medals at the commonwealth games while Australia is leading the tally with 5 gold medals.

The third and fourth gold medals came from the less talked about greeko-roman wrestling.

Wrestler Sanjay brought home the gold medal in the 74 kg category defeating his South African opponent in two straight rounds out of possible three round in the finals.

While before that India has also bagged a gold medal in the 62 kg category of greeko roman wrestling championship.

In the one remaining category which is 90 kg category in the greeko roman style, Indian Anil Singh is through to the finals securing a medal. The final is due to happen today itself in which one more gold medal can be very much expected.
